INSIDE THE 18: New York Red Bulls Set To Take On Atlanta United in Midweek Matchup

The New York Red Bulls are prepared to face off against Atlanta United FC in a midweek matchup in Georgia on Wednesday night.

New York will see John Tolkin, Aaron Long, Sean Nealis and Kyle Duncan start along the backline, ahead of Carlos Coronel in goal.

This will be the 12th overall MLS regular season meeting between New York and Atlanta, the Red Bulls lead the series with a 7-0-4 record in the regular season. 

Dru Yearwood and Daniel Edelman lock down the defensive midfield.

New York has posted 3-0-2 record in Atlanta, where they have outscored their opponents, 9-5. 

Patryk Klimala, Lewis Morgan, Luquinhas and Cristian Cásseres Jr. lead the attack for RBNY.

Head Coach Gerhard Struber will have Wiki Carmona available off the bench for the first time this season, as well as Andrés Reyes, Dylan Nealis, Tyler Pasher, Cameron Harper, Frankie Amaya, Caden Clark and Tom Barlow. Ryan Meara will serve as the backup goalkeeper.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG GO, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

Coverage on MSG begins at 7 p.m. ET with the Red Bulls Pregame show. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.

New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
