With Bradley Wright-Phillips starting tonight's match on the bench, Derrick Etienne, Jr. will get the start as the teams' striker.
Tim Parker and Tyler Adams are still away on U.S. Men's National Team duty, as is Kaku, who joined the Paraguayan National Team for training on Monday. With Fidel Escobar and Michael Amir Murillo away with Panama ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the defense will have some new faces making their season debuts. Ethan Kutler and Hassan Ndam are both making their first career starts for the New York Red Bulls First Team.
Danny Royer and Marc Rzatkowski both return to the starting squad, after coming in as subs in the teams' last match against New England.
Sean Davis will captain the side, as Ryan Meara starts in goal for New York.
Vincent Bezecourt, Kemar Lawrence, Aaron Long, and Alex Muyl will be on the pitch for the starting whistle, too.
The Red Bulls will have Evan Louro on the bench as the backup goalkeeper, with Aurelien Collin, Connor Lade, Florian Valot, Carlos Rivas and Brian White available as subs.
Luis Robles remains sidelined with a knee injury, but is on track to return to match play soon.
