The New York Red Bulls (1-4-6, 9 pts.) face off against New York City FC (4-4-3, 15 pts.) on Saturday, May 13 at Red Bull Arena for the Derby. This will be the 22nd overall regular season meeting between the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC. In the last four regular season matches both teams have levelled two wins and two losses, with Red Bulls having an overall winning record of 10-8-2 against rival New York City FC.

Bronx, N.Y. native and Homegrown player Omir Fernandez scored in both his last U.S Open Cup appearances, most recently against DC United in a game winning goal. Fernandez has made eleven appearances so far this season with a game equalizing goal against Houston.
