  • NYRB II defeated Philadelphia Union II, 5-1, at Subaru Park to secure their first win of the 2020 season.
  • Midfielder Deri Corfe opened up his 2020 account with his first professional goal in 10th minute off a pass from Jake Lacava.  
  • NYRB II led 1-0 at halftime, but right after the break Philadelphia Union scored the equalizer in the 46th minute from Selmir Miscic.
  • In the span of six minutes, NYRB II found goals from defender Roy Boateng, midfielder Daniel Edelman, and forward Sebastian Elney. Edelman scored his first professional goal and made his first professional start in the victory.
  • Dantouma Toure picked up his first professional assist finding forward Omar Sowe in the 75th minute to extend NYRB II’s lead to four goals.
  • In the 83rd minute, defender Bo Cummins made his professional debut coming on for Joesph Fala.
  • With the win, NYRB II move up to third place in Group F right behind Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC and Hartford Athletic.
  • NYRB II return home on July 26 to face Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Red Bull Arena, with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
