The Red Bulls’ four-match winning streak in Red Bull Arena came to a close Saturday night in the New York Derby. It’s the first time in the last four matches of this series that NYCFC came out victorious.

New York City used a lofted ball to an onrushing Taty Castellanos in the 69th minute to take the three points.

The Red Bulls fired off six shots in the first half and forced three saves, but couldn’t find the breakthrough.

City found its form in the second half, putting five shots on goal in the 45-minute stretch.

Castellanos scored for the 22nd time in his last 23 MLS matches, getting a foot on a chipped ball into the center of box.

The Red Bulls stayed alive with a number of big plays in their own defensive end, including a save on a free kick from Carlos Coronel moments before a goal line clearance from midfielder Daniel Edelman on the rebound.

They couldn’t find a last-minute goal, though, as NYCFC held on for its 1-0 win.

The team is back in action on Sunday, July 24 in Texas against Austin FC. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET
