Red Bull New York rolled over FC Cincinnati, 4-2, at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Julian Hall continued his hot start to the season with his fifth goal of the year, while Emil Forsberg scored an unbelievable free kick en route to the victory.
"Really, really happy to score four goals," Head Coach Michael Bradley said. "Happy to score four at home. Really proud of the group for the response."
Cade Cowell forced an own goal from FC Cincinnati, crossing a ball into a dangerous area, while Mohammed Sofo opened his 2026 account in stoppage time.
Ethan Horvath made four saves on the night, denying Cincy again and again.
"They worked so hard during the international break," Bradley said of the squad. "They were so into it, so engaged, and now tonight, when we get our chance in front of everybody to show what we're about and make a real strong statement, that part was really good."
New York opened the scoring in the 12th minute. Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty placed a through ball down the right wing to Cowell who took a touch passed a defender and crossed a ball into the six-yard box to Hall, who placed a shot into the back of net.
Hall scored his fifth goal of the season and is tied for the most goals in the Eastern Conference and second-most goals in MLS this season.
Hall is the youngest player in MLS history to score five or more goals in their first six appearances of an MLS season, doing so at 18 years and 11 days old.
After Cincy drew even, the Red Bulls regained the lead in the 48th minute. Forsberg struck a right footed free kick into the top left corner of the net, bar down.
The midfielder’s 21 career MLS goals is tied with Lloyd Sam for the third-most goal by a midfielder in club history.
New York extended their lead in the 66th minute. Cowell crossed the ball far post to Hall that was deflected into the back of the net by Cincinnati defender Kyle Smith for an own goal.
New York sealed the deal in the third minute of stoppage time. Robert Voloder played a ball to Ronald Donkor who played a ball through to Sofo. Sofo did a step over to beat his defender and laced a shot into the top left corner of the net.
With the win, New York moved to 8-4-3 against Cincinnati and 4-2-0 in their last six matches against the side.
"It’s a busy period coming, obviously we know that," Bradley said. "We have Open Cup starting as well. We’re excited. There’s nothing better than playing games and we have a really good group. We’re going to continue to push, training every day and we’re going to continue to try to improve every single guy."
New York will head down to Florida to battle Inter Miami CF at Nu Stadium on Saturday, April 11.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on Apple TV in English and Spanish, and Red Bulls Radio in English via the Red Bull New York app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
