The New York Red Bulls beat D.C. United, 2-0, at Audi Field on Saturday evening.
Goals from Cameron Harper and Mohammed Sofo sealed the win for New York.
"It was very well from the whole group, a good, really, really good performance from the whole team," Head Coach Sandro Schwarz said. "Especially our center backs, Kyle [Duncan] with his position -- he was winning in defense and an offense in the wider position was top. This is what we need, and this is what we have to continue now, especially for the next two games in this tough month."
The Red Bulls opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, when Wiki Carmona sent a cross to the top of D.C. United’s eighteen-yard box for captain Emil Forsberg, who laid it off to midfielder Harper, who’s shot attempt found the bottom left corner.

"He is a great guy off the field, first of all, and with his intensity on the field, with his runs in one against one situation, to have the confidence on the side, and then with his quality, is also able to finish, to score or to make the final pass," Schwarz said of Harper.
New York added to their lead in the 95th minute, when Mohammed Sofo gathered a loose ball and dribbled the ball towards D.C. United’s eighteen-yard box and had a left-footed shot that found the bottom right corner.
