MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Red Bulls Score Late Again - to Win

Aaron Long scored in the 89th minute as the New York Red Bulls defeated the New England Revolution 1-0 on Wednesday night. 


Long finished off a header from Tim Parker, swinging in from a Kaku corner kick to put New York up late and grab three points at home.


After the first 45 minutes of play, New York took six shots and made 17 clearances. 


Marc Rzatkowski completed two key passes in the first half.


The Red Bulls first three substitutions happened in the 58th minute with Cristian CĂ¡sseres Jr., Kaku and Danny Royer taking the field for Caden Clark, Sean Davis and Rzatkowski. 


Interim Head coach Bradley Carnell’s four substitution decision saw Jared Stroud leave the field for Samuel Tetteh. 


The last change of the evening saw Tom Barlow take the field for Brian White.


In the 82nd minute, Kaku had a great chance that missed the target by a few inches.
