ABOUT THE MATCH
The Red Bulls continue a start of the campaign that see them play five out of seven matches on the road when they travel to the Windy City to take on the Fire. Chicago (0-3-1, 1 pt.) is still searching for its first win of the year and should be well-rested heading into its third home game of the season following a bye week from MLS play. The Fire’s last MLS match was a 4-1 loss at home to Chivas USA. Chicago picked up its only point of the year in a 0-0 tie against Sporting Kansas City at Sporting Park March 16. New York is 12-22-9 all-time against Chicago and 3-12-6 on the road. Last year, the Red Bulls went 1-2-0 versus Chicago. In the teams’ last encounter, Chicago won, 2-0, on Oct. 6 at Red Bull Arena. In the only match in Chicago, the Fire earned three points with a 3-1 victory over the Red Bulls.
