HARRISON, N.J. (August 3, 2023) â The New York Red Bulls have added Colombian forward Jorge Cabezas Hurtado on loan from Watford FC pending the receipt of his P-1 visa and ITC, the club announced today. Hurtado will be on loan with the Red Bulls until the end of the season. The transaction was completed before the close of the Secondary Transfer Window on August 2.

Hurtado, 19, joined Watford FC in January, and then joined Categoria Primer A side Independiente Medellin on a six-month loan. He made 10 appearances for the club across all competitions. Prior to Medellin, he played for Real Cartagena and made 20 appearances for the club, while scoring four goals. Hurtado made his professional debut for Cartagena on April 14, 2021.

The Tumaco, Colombia native has represented Colombia at the U-20 level. He has made 20 appearances, where he has scored three goals and tallied two assists. Hurtado scored two goals and tallied one assist at the 2023 U-20 South American Championship.
