The New York Red Bulls have added NYRB II midfielder Nehuén Benedetti to a short-term agreement ahead of their match against Philadelphia Union, the club announced today.
Benedetti, 20, is in his first season with New York Red Bulls II after joining via loan from Club Estudiantes de la Plata this past offseason. He has made 13 appearances for Red Bulls II, where he has recorded six goals and six assists. Benedetti currently ranks tied for second in MLS NEXT Pro in assists and he was named the MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Month for the month of June after scoring four goals and recording four assists.
The Bosques, Argentina native has spent the last two seasons with Estudiantes de La Plata, where he made five appearances for the club. He spent most of his time with Club Estudiantes de La Plata II, where he made 27 appearances and tallied three goals and two assists. Benedetti is an academy product of Club Estudiantes de la Plata. He has also featured for the Argentina U-20 National Team, making one appearance in 2024.
The midfielder will be available for the Red Bulls’ MLS regular season match today against Philadelphia Union.
