New York Red Bulls Trade Midfielder Dru Yearwood to Nashville SC

HARRISON, N.J. (December 11, 2023) – The New York Red Bulls have traded midfielder Dru Yearwood to Nashville SC, the club announced today. New York will receive $75,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) in 2024 and then an additional $75,000 in GAM in 2025 if certain contractual conditions are met.

“We want to thank Dru for his four seasons with our organization, the positive energy he brought every day was amazing,” said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider. “Dru is a great human being and we wish him well in his next opportunity.”

Yearwood, 23, spent four seasons with New York, where he made 86 career MLS appearances. The Harlow, England native recorded three goals and three assists for the Red Bulls. This season, Yearwood appeared in 20 MLS matches and totaled 824 minutes played.  He recorded his first career MLS goal against D.C. United on September 11, 2021, at Red Bull Arena and tallied his first career MLS assist on July 3 at Orlando City SC.

The midfielder made 99 appearances across all competitions for the Red Bulls. In 2021, Yearwood set single-season career-highs in games played (29), games started (18), minutes played (1,697), and assists (2). Yearwood joined the club from Brentford F.C. on August 5, 2020.

TRANSACTION: The New York Red Bulls trade midfielder Dru Yearwood to Nashville SC in exchange for $75,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money (GAM), and $75,000 in 2025 GAM if certain contractual conditions are met, on December 11, 2023.
