NYRB II INJURY UPDATE: Vincent Bezecourt -

HANOVER, N.J. (April 6, 2016) ā€“ New York Red Bulls II midfielder Vincent Bezecourt suffered a left knee injury in the 2-0 victory at Louisville City FC on Saturday afternoon. The Frenchman is expected to miss 2-3 months.

ā€œItā€™s disappointing, especially in Vincentā€™s first start,ā€ said head coach John Wolyniec. ā€œItā€™s going to be a two to three month injury so itā€™s always difficult when you grab an injury early in the season, but I think that heā€™s shown that he can really help us and that heā€™s a player thatā€™s going to be important to this club.ā€

ā€œHe just needs to put his head down, do the work for the next couple months and wait for his time to come back. Itā€™s a long season - you know weā€™ll have plenty of opportunities to see him play so now itā€™s about doing the work to get back.ā€

Bezecourt has played two games, including one start against Louisville City FC, for a total of 63 minutes. The Frenchmanā€™s shot from distance in the 29th minute last weekend setup Junior Flemmingsā€™ goal, which was scored on the rebound of Bezecourtā€™s initial shot.
