HANOVER, N.J. (April 6, 2016) ā New York Red Bulls II midfielder Vincent Bezecourt suffered a left knee injury in the 2-0 victory at Louisville City FC on Saturday afternoon. The Frenchman is expected to miss 2-3 months.
āItās disappointing, especially in Vincentās first start,ā said head coach John Wolyniec. āItās going to be a two to three month injury so itās always difficult when you grab an injury early in the season, but I think that heās shown that he can really help us and that heās a player thatās going to be important to this club.ā
āHe just needs to put his head down, do the work for the next couple months and wait for his time to come back. Itās a long season - you know weāll have plenty of opportunities to see him play so now itās about doing the work to get back.ā
Bezecourt has played two games, including one start against Louisville City FC, for a total of 63 minutes. The Frenchmanās shot from distance in the 29th minute last weekend setup Junior Flemmingsā goal, which was scored on the rebound of Bezecourtās initial shot.
