HARRISON, N.J. (September 7, 2026) – Red Bull New York goalkeeper Ethan Horvath has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 24. This is the first time that Horvath has been named to the Team of the Matchday this season.
Horvath recorded six saves in New York’s 0-0 draw on the road against Seattle Sounders on Saturday, September 5. His six saves were tied for the most recorded by an Eastern Conference goalkeeper in Matchday 24. He also ranked tied for third in MLS during Matchday 24 for opponents crosses saved.
The Highlands Ranch, Colorado native earned his second clean sheet of the season, and has now recorded 78 saves on the year, which ranks fifth among Eastern Conference goalkeepers.
Horvath and the Red Bulls are back in action on Wednesday, September 9, when they continue their road trip with a face off against Los Angeles FC at BMO Stadium.
