HARRISON, N.J. (September 14, 2026) – Red Bull New York midfielder Ronald Donkor has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday for Matchday 26. This is the second time that Donkor has been named to the Team of the Matchday this season.
Donkor scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute of the match to give the Red Bulls the win on the road against the Columbus Crew. This was the midfielder’s second goal of the MLS season. Â
The Accra, Ghana native has now tallied eight goal contributions for New York this season, which is a career-high for goal contributions in a single season. Donkor has tallied six assists for the Red Bulls, which ranks third in the club this season. Â
Donkor and the Red Bulls will conclude a four-match road trip, when they head to Yankee Stadium on Friday, September 18 to face off against rivals New York City FC.
