Red Bull New York have transferred defender Noah Eile to Bristol City for a club-record fee for a defender, the club announced today.
“Noah has been a true professional and a great presence within our group, and we’re thankful for the commitment and effort he showed every day with the club,” said Head of Sport Julian de Guzman. “As he moves on to the next step in his career, we wish him continued growth and success.”
Eile, 23, joined New York via transfer from Malmo FF two years ago. He made 59 career MLS appearances for the Red Bulls, where he recorded one goal and four assists. In his first season, Eile tallied three assists in 29 appearances. The defender helped New York clinch their first-ever Eastern Conference Championship in 2024. Last season, Eile made 30 MLS appearances and logged 2,610 minutes played, also he ranked sixth in MLS in clearances.
Prior to New York, Eile spent two seasons with Mjallby AIF on loan from Malmo, where he made 52 appearances and recorded one goal and five assists. Eile was with Malmo FF from 2020-2021, where he won Allsevnskan with the club in 2021.
The Lund, Sweden native has also featured with Sweden’s Youth National Teams, where he has made 28 appearances. He has made six career appearances with the U-21’s, which all came in UEFA European U-21 Qualifying matches.
