2023 Fall Academy Season Preview: U17 Head Coach, Chris Harmon

"I am excited to work with the U17 age group this year as we have a very talented and diverse group of players. As the top age group in the Academy, our goal is to set the standard in how we inspire and mentor the younger age groups in both how we play and how we act on and off the field.

With a mix of 2007s and 2008 age groups, we are looking forward to competing in the MLS NEXT league as well as giving experience and opportunities to younger players. We hope to continue the momentum and success of our 2008s coming off of a national championship with the U15s as well as a successful pre-season.

Our 2008s traveled to Salzburg over the summer to play in the Next Gen Cup where we made it to the quarterfinals against top Academies from around the world. This year we are ready to compete in the league as well as in the GA Cup where we will be able to benchmark ourselves against the best academies across the globe. Recent successes in our 2008 age group include Julian Hall and Tanner Rosborough who signed professional contracts. As always, the goal is that more players will follow suit as we continue to provide opportunities for young players to compete at the highest level. Our 2007 age group is highlighted by Brady Boulanger, Jeffrey Bryjak, and MLS NEXT Pro player Davi Alexandre.

All in all, we feel strongly about a solid group of players and young men who embody our core values and are truly enjoyable to be around daily. We look forward to pushing this group of players in one of the most competitive training environments in the country during our 2023/24 season."
