SportsCare has partnered with the New York Red Bulls professional Major League Soccer team to host a two hour youth soccer clinic at SportsCare’s state-of-the-art facility in Whippany.

The clinic will combine technical skills coaching with soccer specific strength and condition training. Additionally, athletes will go through a movement test that helps identify injury susceptibility, specific clinic details are below:
FMS Station (Carpet Recovery Area) (FMS=Functional Movement Systems) - www.functionalmovement.com
- 7 Movement Tests used to determine muscle imbalances, strength deficiencies, and mobility issues
- Each athlete receives a score out of 21 that indicates injury susceptibility
- Athletes will be emailed a full report explaining each test and exercise programming indications
- Remaining time at this station will be dedicated to Functional Mobility exercises from improved mobility, stability, and injury prevention
- Acceleration/Plyometric Station (Sprint Track)
- Brief Wall Drills emphasizing proper technique for acceleration "punching" movement
- Resistance Bungees-Forward, Backward, Assistance Overspeed Pulling
- Plyo Box Series-Box Jumps, Depth Jumps, Sprint-Out (to ball)
REGISTRATION DETAILS: Registration is limited to the first 48 players ages 12 to 14 years, there is no cost for this clinic.
