The New York Red Bulls Youth Soccer Festival series, presented by Hackensack University Medical Center, kicked off this weekend at Long Island Junior Soccer League Park in Plainview, New York. The event was attended by over 260 participants.

The Soccer Festival that the New York Red Bulls organized this weekend was nothing short of fantastic," said Timmy Graham, President of the Valley Stream Soccer Club. "There was a great turn out of soccer players from all across Long Island. The Red Bulls did an awesome job on hitting all the marks, like they usually do, on development across the board. From passing, receiving, dribbling, and shooting they had fun skills challenges that players of all ages could appreciate and learn from. They even had 3v3 Soccer games going on in an enclosed street style format, which my girls had a blast doing."

Kids were able to test their skills at the HackensackUMC Skills Challenge, learned some freestyle tricks from the Red Bulls Street Team, and challenged themselves in 3v3 small field matches. New York Red Bulls players Mike Grella and Matt Miazga were also on hand to meet and sign autographs after their match in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

"I would like to personally thank the entire Red Bull Organization and training staff for all their hard work and diligence to our youth soccer players and programs," continued Graham. "As the president of The Valley Stream Soccer Club, which serves approximately 1,000 kids, I can say that the New York Red Bulls are without a doubt a blessing and always have the kids’ development and well-being as their highest priority. We have 17 wonderful board members in our club and by far our greatest accomplishment was hiring the New York Red Bulls training staff."
