After a dramatic comeback win over Atlanta United, the MLS Team of the Week for Week 17 had New York Red Bulls flair, with both Sean Nealis and Serge Ngoma making their feature of 2022.
Nealis makes his Team of the Week debut after helping lead the New York defense. He won 100% of his duels and completed 84.1% of his passes.
He has been a workhorse in 2022, playing every minute in every match across all competitions this season.
Ngoma makes his career debut on the TOTW after coming on as a substitute in the 69th minute. He provided a spark to the New York offense and snagged the go-ahead goal in the dying minutes of the match.
Ngoma is the youngest player to score a goal in MLS this season at 16 years and 357 days old. He is also the third-youngest player in league history to score a game-winner in the 85th minute or later, behind only Freddy Adu and Eddie Gaven.
The Red Bulls are the first team in league history to have three different players score a goal before their 17th birthday.
Nealis and Ngoma become the seventh and eighth Red Bulls players to be featured in TOTW in 2022.
