Three Red Bulls Named to MLS Team of the Matchday

Emil Forsberg, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Ronald Donkor were all named to MLS Team of the Matchday following New York Red Bulls' 5-3 victory.

Forsberg and Choupo-Moting each tallied braces, while Donkor had three assists. Forsberg added an assist as well.

Donkor tallied his first, second, and third MLS assists of the season and the second, third, and fourth of his MLS career. It was his first since June 24, 2023, against Atlanta United FC. Donkor recorded his first career MLS multi-assist match and became the 12th player in franchise history to record three assists in a single match.

Choupo-Moting scored his 12th and 13th MLS goals of the season, which ranks tied for fifth in MLS. The forward has scored a goal in five-straight matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium.

Forsberg tallied his sixth MLS assist of the season, which leads the club and sets a new Red Bulls career-high for him. The captain also scored his 8th and 9th MLS goals of the season and the 17th and 18th of his MLS career.

Forsberg now moves into second place in franchise history for most goals scored by a midfielder in their first two seasons with the club. Forsberg has now scored three goals and tallied two assists in his career against New England.

New York will remain at Sports Illustrated Stadium to face off against Inter Miami CF, presented by Toyota, on Saturday, July 19.
