HARRISON, NJ (November 21, 2014) – New York Red Bulls forward Thierry Henry is one of four finalists for the 2014 AT&T Goal of the Year award for his goal against Sporting Kansas City on September 6 at Red Bull Arena.

Early in the second half on September 6, Henry put New York ahead 2-0 with a right-footed shot from outside the 18-yard-box. Midfielder Lloyd Sam cut inside towards the top of the area and played a pass to Henry in the 51st minute and the captain did the rest.

After taking one touch inside, Henry ripped a right-footed shot across the face of goal and buried his eighth goal of the year.

Henry finished the season with 10 goals and tied for second in the league in assists with 14, a single-season career high.

Voting for Goal of the Year begins today at 12:00 PM ET and closes on Wednesday, November 26 at 11:59 PM ET.
