Replay: 'Goal' Lindpere's Notch Against FC Dallas

After a scoreless first half of play in which FC Dallas placed plenty of offensive pressure on the Red Bulls' back line, the tides turned significantly when the teams stepped onto the pitch for the final 45 minutes.


New York closed out the final 10 minutes of the first strong and showed that same sense of attack to start the second. It didn't take long for the Red Bulls to register the goal that allowed them to take the lead and ultimately walk away with a 2-0 victory at Pizza Hut Park.


It all came to form rather quickly. Mehdi Ballouchy, fresh off the bench at the 59-minute mark to replace an injured Dax McCarty, sent a pass into the box hoping to find his mark. Joel Lindpere slipped behind the defender, met the ball, and sent it home past Dallas goalkeeper Kevin Hartman to give the Red Bulls a 1-0 lead.
