Red Bulls defender Teemu Tainio has advanced on to the round of 16 in MLSsoccer.com's Save of the Year contest.
Tainio's bicycle-kick save against Portland beat out Donovan Ricketts (Los Angeles), Milos Kocic (Toronto FC) and Seattle's Kasey Keller in the first round of voting. Now he will look to do the same yet again in a field that includes two more Kasey Keller saves and a Troy Perkins sprawling stop.
Vote now for Teemu's save! The winner will be announced on Nov. 16.

Here's the timeline breakdown:
- The First Round (voting Nov 1-5) will consist of the 32 winners of the Save of the Week in 2011, placed in eight groups of four. The top two in each group, as determined by an online vote, will advance to the Round of 16.
- The Round of 16 (Nov 7-10) will consist of the 16 remaining saves, placed in four groups of four. The top vote-getter in each group, as determined by an online vote, will advance to the Final Group.
- The Final Group (Nov 11-14) will consist of the 4 remaining saves, placed in a group. The MLS Save of the Year winner will be determined by an online vote.
