The Red Bulls jump a spot or two in Power Rankings across the board this week following Saturday’s shutout win over the New England Revolution.

Of course, the unfortunate news of Thierry Henry’s injury also weighs heavily on a lot of the rankings, as you’ll read below. The Red Bulls’ captain is expected to miss the next three to four weeks with a strained hamstring.

Ryan Meara’s first career clean sheet was highlighted by a number of great saves,
two of which have been nominated for MLSsoccer.com Save of the Week
considerations. Similarly,
Henry has been nominated in yet another Goal of the Week
clash. Voting for both of those ends Thursday at 11:59pm PT, so get your votes in now and spread the word for others to do the same.
MLSsoccer.com has the Red Bulls holding ground in the same spot as last week’s rankings
. They have this to say of the ninth place club: 9 (9)
"New York could be in some deep trouble without Thierry Henry for the next month. The big question is if Kenny Cooper’s numbers drop off (or how far they do) without Henry’s set-up delights setting Cooper free to do his thing."
Sports Illustrated credits the team for its ability to get through the recent string of injuries
. They also join the club of media outlets praising Dax McCarty for his stellar play as a defensive midfielder as well. 8 (9)
“Kudos to the undermanned Red Bulls for showing some heart and gutting out a victory over New England. It's going to take a continued level of effort from Dax McCarty & Co. while Thierry Henry, Wilman Conde and the rest of the walking wounded fight their way back from the injured list. Unfortunately, the star power in this weekend's L.A.-N.Y. game is all on one side of the matchup.”
ESPNSoccernet has the Red Bulls jumping up a spot
: 9 (10)
"The 1-0 win over New England -- due in part to a stellar effort by New York's makeshift back line -- was overshadowed by the hamstring injury to Thierry Henry, who is expected to miss four weeks."
And finally, Soccer By Ives gives New York a slight lift in the rankings as well
, while also highlighting the obvious downside of missing Henry: 8 (9)
"So who had the Red Bulls recording a shutout with a back line of Connor Lade, Tyler Ruthven, Markus Holgersson and Brandon Barklage? The Red Bulls deserve credit for some unexpected resiliency, though the loss of MLS leading scorer Thierry Henry (an astonishing nine goals and five assists) to a hamstring injury is a massive blow."
