Following a dominating 4-0 performance against the Seattle Sounders, the New York Red Bulls U-18s are set to face off against Shattuck-St. Mary’s Saturday night with the hopes of claiming the USDA title.

Forwards Arun Basuljevic and Alex Muyl combined for three of the four goals, with Ethan Decker’s penalty-kick conversion standing as the fourth, as the New York side went on to earn a shutout victory and advance to the finals.

This opportunity comes just one season after the Red Bulls became the first MLS side to win the U16 USDA National Championship. Now, the team has returned to defend its title and perhaps claim a second consecutive one with a win over Shattuck-St. Mary’s.

The Red Bulls’ Academy side pieced together an impressive 19-1-5 regular season campaign led by defender Matt Miazga, who signed a homegrown contract with the Red Bulls on May 30, and forwards Muyl and Decker.

The two sides will square off Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium for a 9:30 PM ET kick off. A live broadcast will be available at USsoccer.com.
