In a match-up of the last two USDA Under 18 National Champions, the Red Bulls recorded a convincing 4-0 victory on the road over Players Development Academy. PDA applied pressure early in the game, but solid defending by Red Bulls center backs Matt McCarthy and Andrew Lombard thwarted each PDA effort. In the 16th minute the Red Bulls opened the scoring off a 25 yard shot from Gideon Metrikin that took a slight deflection and found its way past the keeper. In the 44th minute, the Red Bulls made the score 2-0 as Derrick Etienne slipped a neat pass to Juan Sebastian Sanchez to finish from close range. In the second half, the Red Bulls made the score 3-0 when Etienne played a perfect cross to Wade at the back post to head in over the outstretched hands of the PDA goalkeeper. The scoring was completed in the 81st minute when Cameron Harr received a pass from Etienne inside the penalty box and calmly placed his shot into the lower right hand corner of the goal.
