SAN JOSE, Calif. (April 13, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls fell to the San Jose Earthquakes, 2-0 on Wednesday night at Avaya Stadium. Fatai Alashe and Chris Wondolowski each scored for the home side.

Luis Robles tied an MLS record on the night, starting and playing a full 90 minutes for the 112th consecutive league match, tying Kevin Hartman's record. Robles has not missed a regular season game since his first start at the end of the 2012 season.

New York is now 1-5-0 on the season. New York is 11-17-9 all-time against San Jose, including a 2-13-3 mark in San Jose.

Homegrown Player Tyler Adams made his MLS debut in the match. The 17-year-old Wappingers Falls, N.Y., native joined New York at the start of the season after playing with New York Red Bulls II last season.

Adams started in the midfield alongside fellow Homegrown Player Sean Davis, and former England international Shaun Wright-Phillips, as Jesse Marsch rested several regular starters.

San Jose struck first in the 40th minute. With possession around the top of the penalty area, Matias Perez Garcia laid off for Alashe, who took a shot from the top of the half-circle. The ball deflected on its way towards Robles, leaving the Red Bulls goalkeeper no chance.

Chris Wondolowski doubled the lead in the 55th minute, finishing a header at close range after a long cross from Shea Salinas on the left wing.

The Red Bulls finished with five shots on target and took 58% of the possession in the match.

The Red Bulls road swing wraps up on Saturday, with a match at Colorado. Coverage on MSG, MSG GO and Red Bulls Radio gets underway at 8:30 p.m. ET, with kickoff set for 9 p.m.

New York returns home to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its inaugural home match on Sunday, April 24, when Orlando City SC visits Red Bull Arena at 7:30 p.m.
