  • The Rapids have allowed just three goals in their five games this season, following their 1-0 defeat at Real Salt Lake over the weekend – tied for the fewest in MLS this season (also: Sporting KC). The Rapids have also scored just three goals this season, tied for the fewest in the league (also: Columbus Crew SC).
  • The Red Bulls were shut out for a fourth time in five games in their 2-0 home loss to Sporting KC at the weekend. The Red Bulls were shut out twice in 34 games on their way to the Supporters’ Shield in 2015.
  • The teams have played to draws each of the last two seasons in their only meetings, both coming at Red Bull Arena. The Rapids won 2-0 in the last meeting at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, on July 4, 2013. The last Red Bulls victory in the series came in 2012, a 4-1 at Red Bull Arena.
  • The Red Bulls haven’t won in Colorado since 2007. The Rapids have won four of the five home meetings since, with one draw.
