NOTES

  • For Orlando, the match will mark their second since head coach Adrian Heath's departure. The club will seek a road win in the hopes of jumping back into the playoff picture. New York, meanwhile, are looking to end a poor run of form that has dropped them to fourth in the East.
  • The teams split their two meetings a year ago in Orlando City’s first MLS season, the road team winning on each occasion. The Red Bulls claimed a 2-0 victory on July 18 at the Citrus Bowl, then Orlando City turned the tables in a 5-2 triumph Sept. 25 at Red Bull Arena.
  • The Red Bulls were shut out for a second consecutive game and had their winless streak reach four games – following a season-long four-game winning streak – after their scoreless draw with the Portland Timbers 821352574" tabindex="0">on Sunday afternoon at Red Bull Arena.
  • In their first game with Bobby Murphy in charge as interim head coach, Orlando City played to a scoreless draw with the Houston Dynamo 821352575" style="line-height: 1.6em;" tabindex="0">on Friday evening at Camping World Stadium. Murphy took over for Adrian Heath, who was the only coach OCSC had known before he departed the club in the days leading to the Houston match.
  • The teams are meeting for a third and final time this regular season. Bradley Wright-Phillips hit for a pair of goals in a three-goal Red Bulls burst 821352577" tabindex="0">in 11 minutes in the second half as they took a 3-2 win 821352578" tabindex="0">April 24 in Harrison; Wright-Phillips scored again, but Kevin Molino canceled that out as the teams reached a 1-1 draw 821352579" tabindex="0">May 6 at Camping World Stadium.
