Red Bulls May Rotate Roster For First MLS Game

With a quick turnaround and a cross-continent trip between Leg 2 of the CONCACAF Champions League Quarterfinals and the first game of the 2017 MLS season, the Red Bulls may be forced into rotating the roster a bit between games.

“I think we’ll see some squad rotation,” Head Coach Jesse Marsch said on Monday. “It depends how long the game goes in Vancouver.”

Marsch said that New York will plan to bring a few extra players on the trip in case they are needed for the MLS opener against Atlanta United FC.

“We’re bringing more players along with the idea that we may need to call on more for that opening game against Atlanta,” Marsch said. “But right now our priority is going to Vancouver and getting a result there.
