Marsch Praises Royer's Performance Against Colorado

Danny Royer

Daniel Royer "worked his butt off" against Colorado, according to Head Coach Jesse Marsch.

Royer was in the mix on the lone goal scored on Saturday, an own goal by Colorado defender Eric Miller, in New York's 1-0 win over Colorado Rapids.

"He covered a lot of ground and he closed a lot of things down," Marsch said of Royer. "He was dangerous in the attack, good on the ball."

Royer had 88 total touches on Saturday, fourth on the team.

"Really good performance from Danny," Marsch said. "I thought he was our best player."
