New York Red Bulls II and Montclair State University Announce Radio and Streaming Partnership

HARRISON, N.J. (March 23, 2017) – The United Soccer League (USL) affiliate of Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls, the New York Red Bulls II, will play its home games on the campus of Montclair State University beginning with the 2017 season at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, N.J.

As part of a multifaceted partnership between the two entities, the Red Bulls II will give Montclair State students the opportunity to develop real-world sports broadcasting experience by allowing them to participate in the live streaming of all home matches via the club’s official YouTube channel. Select matches will also be streamed via Montclair State University’s official campus radio channel, WMSC 90.3 FM, which is also available on the iHeartradio app.

"We are happy to provide new and exciting ways in which students can have the opportunity to learn and develop within our club,” says Jamie Ponce, New York Red Bulls II director of business operations. “This partnership allows us to help grow their passion for the sports industry while providing them with an outlet to enhance their skill sets in both radio and streaming broadcast.”

The defending USL champions, New York Red Bulls II will play 14 of their 16 home games at MSU Soccer Park, with the club’s home opener scheduled for Saturday, April 1 against the Richmond (Va.) Kickers. Kickoff for the match is scheduled for 4 p.m.

"We are thrilled to be exclusive radio partners with the New York Red Bulls II for the 2017 season,” says WMSC General Manager and Instructor Anabella Poland. “This is an amazing opportunity for Montclair State University students involved at the college radio station to work alongside a professional team and bring that coverage to our listeners."
