Match Preview: Red Bulls II Hosting Orlando City B on Friday Night

MONTCLAIR, N.J. (APRIL 12, 2017) – New York Red Bulls II (1-1-2, 4 points) return home to MSU Soccer Park Friday to host Orlando City B (1-1-2, 4 points) in a Friday night matchup.


New York is coming off two consecutive losses to Harrisburg City Islanders and Saint Louis FC last week as part of three games in seven days for the side.


Despite dropping points, Red Bulls II continue to show their offensive prowess rendering an average of nearly 14 shots per game leading the USL with 57 total.


French midfielder Vincent Bezecourt is tied for the league lead in goals with three after four games.


Former NYRB II defender Zach Carroll, who helped anchor a record-setting backline for NYRB II, now calls Orlando City B home. This will be his first match against his former team.


This will be the third meeting all time between the two USL sides NYRB II holds a 2-1-0 advantage.


Statistically, New York also leads the USL in passes with 1827 total.


Orlando City B is coming off a three-game homestand that saw them win versus Toronto FC II, draw Charlotte Independence, and lose against Louisville City.


The game will be the first of three $1 Hot Dog Fridays at Montclair State University.
