HARRISON, N.J. (April 20, 2017) – New York Red Bulls II travel to Capelli Sport Stadium (formerly Rochester Rhinos Stadium) to take on the Rochester Rhinos Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 6:05 PM ET.
Saturday’s match features the previous two USL champions (Rochester 2015, NYRB II 2016).
Historically, playing the Rhinos has not been kind to NYRB II as Rochester lead the all-time series 3-0-5, including playoffs. New York did get the better of Rochester in last year’s USL Eastern Conference Semifinals though, winning 5-4 on a penalty-kick shootout at Red Bull Arena on their way to a USL Cup Championship.
NYRB II is coming off a 3-1 victory over Orlando City B at MSU Soccer Park that saw midfielder Vincent Bezecourt notch one goal and two assists in the win en route to making USL Team of the Week for his performance.
Bezecourt is currently tied for second in the USL with four goals scored.
Arun Basuljevic currently leads the USL in passing with 318 total, 20 more than the nearest leader.
Rochester is coming off a 5-0 loss to Charleston Battery, the most goals they’ve allowed in a single match in over four years.
