U-20 WORLD CUP: Adams and USMNT’s World Cup Ends in Quarterfinals

The United States U-20 Men’s National Team was eliminated from the U-20 FIFA World Cup in the quarterfinals by Venezuela, 2-1, in extra time.


Tyler Adams started and played 51 minutes for the USMNT.


After a scoreless 90 minutes, the match needed extra time to decide a winner.


Venezuela found the opening goal in the 95th minute, and scored again in the 115th minute to double their lead.


Jeremy Ebobisse pulled one goal back for the United States in the 117th minute, but the comeback came up short.


The U.S. U-20’s enjoyed a successful World Cup campaign, finishing in first place of Group F and defeating New Zealand in the Round of 16, 6-0.
