HARRISON, N.J. (June 21, 2017) – Following a prologue to the New York Derby in the Open Cup, the New York Red Bulls (7-7-2, 23 pts) and New York City FC (8-5-3, 27 pts) renew the NY Derby rivalry in MLS play on Saturday at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is slated for 1:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on FOX, FOX Deportes and New York Red Bulls Radio on Tunein.


New York Red Bulls Radio gets underway with triHonda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon, at 12:30 p.m. ET. Harmon will call the in English with Steve Jolley as the analyst, while Ernesto Motta will have the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities.


The New York Derby prologue saw the Red Bulls shutout NYCFC, 1-0 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round to advance to the Round of 16. Red Bulls winger Daniel Royer scored the game-winning goal in the 67th minute to knock NYCFC.


Bradley Wright-Phillips has shined the brightest when playing on either FOX or FS1. In 16 matches played on either FOX or FS1, Wright-Phillips has tallied 14 goals and three assists. During the last three FOX broad- casts, BWP has recorded six goals and one assist, four of which have come against NYC.


The Red Bulls have had the right to say “New York is Red” the past two seasons since NYCFC joined MLS. The Red Bulls swept New York City in 2015 and then took two of three in 2016. The Red Bulls are a perfect 3-0-0 at home against NYCFC and have outscored their rival, 8-2 during MLS play.


New York will host Philadelphia for the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on Wednesday, June 28. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET.
