GOLD CUP: Kemar Lawrence Earns Assist for Jamaica in 2-0 Win over Curacao

New York Red Bulls defender and Jamaica international Kemar Lawrence earned an assist in the Reggae Boyz’s win against Curacao, 2-0.


Lawrence started and played the full 90 minutes in Jamaica’s opening game of the Gold Cup Group Stage.


Jamaica took the lead in the 58th minute when Romario Williams buried the opening goal at the near post.


Lawrence earned an assist on the second goal in the 73rd minute, cutting in a cross to Darren Mattocks, who ripped his shot into the top-left corner.


The Red Bulls defender took four corner kicks, one shot, and earned a 67th minute yellow card against Curacao.


Lawrence and Jamaica next play on Thursday, July 13, against Mexico at 10:30 p.m. ET (TV: FS1, UDN)
