The Red Bulls Are Becoming Road Warriors

The New York Red Bulls have been a force to reckon with on the road of late.

After winning just one of their first six road games to start the year, New York has won three straight games away from home in all competitions.

First Ever Match Against Minnesota

This is New York’s first matchup against expansion side Minnesota United FC.

Minnesota will be the second expansion team New York has faced this year.

On MLS’ opening day, the Red Bulls defeated newcomers Atlanta United FC on the road, 2-1.

BWP vs. Superman

Two-time MLS Golden Boot Award winner Bradley Wright-Phillips will face off against Minnesota sensation Christian “Superman” Ramirez for the first time this season.

Wright-Phillips has scored nine MLS goals this season, while Ramirez is tied for fifth-most goals scored in MLS with 10.

Sacha Kljestan Could Break Thierry Henry’s Record

Sacha Kljestan is tied with Thierry Henry for career MLS assists in a Red Bulls uniform with 42.

Against the San Jose Earthquakes, the Red Bulls captain tallied two assists to move in to a tie with former captain Henry.

Kljestan will have a chance to make history on Saturday.

Daniel Royer Is Scoring At Will

Daniel Royer enters Saturday’s game on a scoring tear.

The Austrian winger has scored in back-to-back MLS games, including two goals in Wednesday’s clash with San Jose.

Two of Royer’s eight goals in all competitions this season have been late-match heroics as his goal in the 76th minute against Atlanta evened the match and his goal against New England in the 74th minute was the game winner.

The Red Bulls Could Achieve A Five-Game Winning Streak

New York heads into the weekend on a four-game winning streak in all competitions (including a win after Extra Time in PKs of U.S. Open Cup).

In total, the club has come out on top in six of their last seven matches in all competitions.

New York Is Making Moves in the Standings

Following Wednesday’s win, the Red Bulls have jumped above the red line into fifth place of the Eastern Conference (9-8-2, 29 pts.).

As the All-Star break approaches, can the Red Bulls continue to gain ground on the best in the East?
