HARRISON, N.J. (August 11, 2017) – New York Red Bulls II (8-11-3, 27 points) head to South Carolina for a Saturday match and a season sweep against the Charleston Battery (10-5-7, 37 points) at MUSC Health Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and can be seen via the USL Match Center.

NYRB II enter the match on a high note, most recently defeating the Rochester Rhinos, 2-1, at home for their first win in regulations against the side. Stefano Bonomo and Arun Basuljevic each put one in the back of the net in the win.

New York sits in eighth place holding the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Charleston has gone winless over their past six USL matches falling to second place in the Eastern Conference standings. They will be helped by the return of striker Romario Williams, who sits second in the USL in goals scored with 14.

New York has never swept the season series from the Charleston Battery in their short history in the USL.

Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II return home to MSU Soccer Park to face FC Cincinnati, four days after the first team squares off against them in the US Open Cup semifinals Tuesday at Nippert Stadium.
