Jesse Marsch and the New York Red Bulls will run out nearly a completely different lineup on Friday night against the Portland Timbers from their previous match.

The Red Bulls will make nine total swaps to the team's Starting XI.

Gonzalo Veron will start at forward for the Red Bulls, supported by Derrick Etienne, Jr., Vincent Bezecourt and Dilly Duka.

Duka will make his first start and first appearance in the gameday roster since being signed earlier this month.

Felipe will man the center of the midfield, while Connor Lade and Sal Zizzo maintain the wings.

Kemar Lawrence, Aurelien Collin and Fidel Escobar will stand tall on defense.

The Panamanian Escobar will make his first start for the Red Bulls since joining the team during the recent transfer window.

Luis Robles will start in goal.

Robles' start will make him the franchise leader in MLS regular-season starts with 164.

On the bench for New York will be: Ryan Meara, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Sacha Kljestan, Aaron Long, Michael Amir Murillo, Sean Davis and Alex Muyl.

Tyler Adams is resting on a coach's decision.
