Jesse Marsch: 'Whatever They Throw At Us, We'll Be Ready'

With some uncertainty around who will be healthy enough to take the field for the Chicago Fire on Saturday, New York Red Bulls Head Coach Jesse Marsch has to prepare for everything.

"It makes preparing a little bit more difficult," Marsch said. "Our group will be ready and knows what this one means."

The Fire could be without key players, such as Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is reportedly dealing with a quad injury.

The game is a big one in the Eastern Conference, as the postseason nears. Chicago currently sit in third with 44 points (13-9-5), while New York is in fifth with 40 points (12-10-4). The Fire have played two more games than the Red Bulls.

Chicago is currently 10-2-1 at home this season.

They’ve been one of the best team at home, if not the best team in the league at home, this year," Marsch said. "That is the challenge. To go in there, against a much-improved team, with some big players, in a conference showdown that will be important as to where things will play out at the end of the year."

"Whatever they throw at us, we’ll be ready," Marsch said.
