USL Match Preview: NYRB II Face Pittsburgh Riverhounds in Regular Season Home Finale

HARRISON, N.J. (September 29, 2017) - New York Red Bulls II (11-12-5, 38 points) return to MSU Soccer Park for their regular season home finale to take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (8-10-11, 35 points), Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET and can be livestreamed via the USL Match Center.

NYRB II is playing their first game since September 16 with last week being an off-week in their schedule.

Sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings, a win Saturday comes as a must as NYRB II will finish the remainder of their season with three-straight road contests. NYRB II’s home record sits at 9-6-0 but have not lost in four-straight matches at MSU.

New York tied Pittsburgh in their lone matchup of the year in the season opener, 3-3, at Rivermark Stadium with Vincent Bezecourt notching a brace.

Bezecourt sits tied for second in the USL in assists with nine.

Pittsburgh are led by former New York Red Bulls draft pick Corey Hertzog, who currently leads them in goals scored with 13.

Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II head to Florida for a two-game roadtrip, first seeing the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Wednesday before finishing off with a contest with Orlando City B Saturday.

Tomorrow also represents a triple-header at MSU Soccer Park starting at noon as Saint Peter’s Prep goes up against Wallington High School. Following the USL match at 4, Montclair State Red Hawks men’s soccer team faces off against the Stockton University Ospreys with kickoff set for 7 p.m. ET.
