Michael Amir Murillo Named to MLS Team of the Week

New York Red Bulls defender Michael Amir Murillo has been named to the Week 33 MLS Team of the Week for his performance in New York’s 2-1 win over D.C. United at RFK Stadium.


The defender played the full 90 minutes and scored a 68th minute goal to tie the game on a beautiful chip, which has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week.






The defender has played 17 MLS games for the Red Bulls this season, including 15 starts. Murillo has also tallied two goals.


The Panamanian international has enjoyed a successful month with both club and country, helping New York to a 2-0-1 October, and qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.


Murillo has been named to the MLS Team of the Week Starting XI twice this season, with his first honor back in August.
