NYRB II Year in Review: Florian Valot

After helping the New York Red Bulls II squad to a USL title in 2016, Florian Valot produced another quality season for NYRB II in 2017, leading to a first team contract with the New York Red Bulls in 2018.

In 2017, Valot finished the year second on the team in goals scored (10), appearances (32), starts (28) and minutes (2,585). Valot also added seven assists to his name this season, which was third most in the team.

Along with stuffing the stat sheet, Valot captained Red Bulls II in multiple matches this season.

The Monaco, France-native completed his second year with the club and put in his fair share of defensive work this season, winning 87% of his tackles.

Additionally, the former Paris Saint-Germain academy product earned a nomination for the USL September Player of the Month award.

A graduate of Rider University and a former New York Red Bulls U-23 player, Valot will look to make an impact in his first MLS season with New York.
