YEAR IN REVIEW: Kemar Lawrence

Defender Kemar Lawrence took yet another step forward in his career in 2017 for club and country.

In 24 appearances for the Red Bulls in MLS play this season, Lawrence bagged himself a goal along with a career-high five assists, which tied Felipe for second on the team.

Additionally, the Kingston, Jamaica native started all three playoff matches this season.

The 25-year-old played in a career-high 2,076 minutes this season, eclipsing the totals from his previous two seasons with the Red Bulls. The left back also ranked second among Red Bulls defenders in minutes played this season, behind only Aaron Long.

Lawrence also earned multiple international caps for Jamaica this year during World Cup Qualifiers and international friendlies. In 2017 Gold Cup against Mexico on July 23, Lawrence scored the lone goal in Jamaica’s 1-0 win over El Tri.
