INSIDE THE 18: Cristian Cásseres Starts Again for New York Red Bulls -



Cristian Cásseres Jr. will stick in the Starting XI for the New York Red Bulls on Sunday night against Sporting Kansas City.


Cásseres will be in the midfield with Marc Rzatkowski, Daniel Royer, Sean Davis and Kaku.


Cásseres recorded his first career MLS goal against Minnesota United on Saturday. Cásseres Jr. needed just 257 minutes to find his first tally and become the 153rd different Red Bull to score in league play. He had been a part of New York’s 18-man gameday roster for eight of the nine matches across all competitions this season and has started two of the five league matches.


Bradley Wright-Phillips will start up top for New York.


Connor Lade will start on defense, with Aaron Long, Tim Parker and Michael Amir Murillo.


Kemar Lawrence did not travel due to an illness.


Luis Robles will start in goal and captain the side.


Most recently, New York bested SKC, 3-2, at Red Bull Arena last season as Rzatkowski tallied a brace in a seven-minute span late in the second half, which included the game-winner in the 79th minute


Head Coach Chris Armas will have Amro Tarek, Kyle Duncan, Derrick Etienne Jr., Andreas Ivan, Brian White and Vincent Bezecourt available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as backup goalkeeper.
