  • New York Red Bulls II (12-4-5, 41 points) played to a 2-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rowdies (12-2-7, 43 points) at MSU Soccer Park Friday evening.
  • NYRBII opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Mathias Jorgensen received a long ball, poked it around the goalkeeper and fired a low shot for his seventh tally of the season.
  • Jorgensen doubled the lead six minutes later, converting a lead-pass from John Tolkin. Tolkin recorded his third assist in just his fourth game.
  • NYRB Academy product Bryce Lebel made his second appearance of the season, entering the game in the 67th minute.
  • Evan Louro made five saves for his third clean sheet of the season, and the teams fifth overall.
  • NYRBII will be back in action next Friday, hosting Saint Louis FC at 7 p.m. at MSU Soccer Park.
