INSIDE THE 18: Tom Barlow Starts Up Top for New York Red Bulls -



Tom Barlow will start at forward for the New York Red Bulls as they take on D.C. United on Wednesday night as part of Rivalry Week, presented by Heineken.


Barlow starts in place of Brian White, who was forced to leave the team's previous match with an ankle injury.


Behind Barlow, Kaku, Daniel Royer and Marc Rzatkowski will help lead the attack, while Sean Davis and Cristian Casseres Jr. anchor the defensive midfield.


The Red Bulls enter Wednesday’s match with a 4-0-4 mark against D.C. in the last eight league meetings and 1-0-1 at Audi Field since it opened. Over the previous eight league meetings, New York has outscored D.C., 16-11 with three clean sheets and six multi-goal team performances.


Along the back line, Rece Buckmaster, Aaron Long, Amro Tarek and Michael Amir Murillo start. Luis Robles starts in goal and wears the captain's armband.


Head Coach Chris Armas will have Alex Muyl, Omir Fernandez, Mathias Jørgensen, Tim Parker, Kemar Lawrence and Bradley Wright-Phillips available off the bench. Ryan Meara will serve as the backup goalkeeper.
