2019 Year in Review: Jared Stroud

Stroud vs. CHS (2)

In his second year with NYRB II, midfielder Jared Stroud proved that he is one of the best the USL Championship has to offer.

The 23-year-old shined in the middle of the park, leading the team in assists (9) and finished tied second in chances created (90).

Stroud was no stranger in finding the back of the net himself. His fifteen goals not only lead NYRB II, but saw him finish as the fifth highest goal scorer in the Eastern Conference.

The Chester, New Jersey native was ranked in the top 10 in every offensive category for the league. He became the first NYRB II player to ever record 20 goals and 20 assists in a career.

Stroud cemented his place in the record books having the most assists (20). He also is second all-time in goals scored (22), second in games played (63), and third all-time in games started (51) and minutes played (4,748).

Stroud’s 2019 season was topped off with the midfielder being named to the USL Championship All-League First Team, which was only the third time a NYRB II player has been named to the first team.
